Corporate Confession and Absolution is offered at the beginning of both services.
Stripping of the Chancel will take place at the conclusion of the evening service.
GOOD FRIDAY CHIEF SERVICE
Friday, April 3 at 12:00pm
Psalms and hymns accompany Scripture readings and Christ’s Passion according to the Gospel of John (Jn 18–19).
GOOD FRIDAY PASSION VESPERS
Friday, April 3 at 7:00pm
Tenebrae service includes psalms and hymns along with the reading of Christ’s crucifixion from the Gospel of John (Jn 19).
EASTER VIGIL
Saturday, April 4 at 7:00pm
This service includes hearing of Old Testament events that prefigured Christ’s resurrection, a Rite of Baptismal Remembrance, and the Resurrection account from the Gospel of John (Jn 20:1-18).
A reception for worshipers to celebrate the beginning of Easter follows the service.
